Quack, Quack, Roar! Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

Balayang: I am archiving this cache due to the unfortunate lack of action taken to restore it, or any communication from the cache owner, Nature Play WA, requesting additional time.

Despite ample opportunities provided for the Cache Owner to respond, their silence leads me to the conclusion that the cache has been abandoned.

In such cases, archived caches will not be unarchived, and as a result, this location is now open for the placement of a new cache by another interested party.

Thanks,

Balayang

Geocache Description:

Roar!!! Don't be fooled, Synergy Parkland is home to more than a couple ducks in a pond!

Just follow the footprints of the giant dinosaurs to discover ancient fossils and ride on the back of the life-like Muttaburrasaurus - a dinosaur that roamed Perth millions of years ago. If you're really brave, you can sneak up to the Bullockornis nesting site and leap on the back of the largest bird ever to live on Earth. These birds were ancestors to the Cape Baron Goose that lived in Perth 30 million years ago. Soar over the 75m-long Windy Walk, which tells the story of the K-T Impact Crater - formed when a 10km wide meteorite blasted a hole in the Earth causing earthquakes, fires, world-wide darkness and possibly the extinction of dinosaurs. Who'd have thought there was so much history in a place that is so much fun?! When you log the geocache, take care not to trample the native vegetation - it is protected as part of a Class A conservation reserve. Please note that NaturePlayers got special permission from the Botanic Gardens and Parks Authority to place this geocache in Kings Park. If you have a Nature Play WA passport (www.natureplaywa.org.au/passport), don't forget to stamp it (the stamp provided is labelled and is not a tradeable item). This cache is designed for kids and is meant to be very easy to find, but please do your best to keep it secret from the muggles. NOTE (28 Aug 2015): Sometime between the middle of May and July the container that we replaced on 14 Apr 2015 was swapped with another container without us being told. This container had no log book it seems. We have again replaced the container with a replacement log book. The new container is a Sistema container wrapped in green tape. Please take care to re-hide it well. Cheers natureplayers
