Located in Glocester MA. Parking and Trail information are in the long description. Bug spray, water, good shoes or sneakers, and at least 30 minutes for the round trip time are needed but the reward for your efforts will be obvious.
The cache is an official lock-n-lock. It contains a log book, pencil, a travel bug, a geo paper weight, and an official geo pin for the first to find the cache.
Red Rocks is a local rock climbing, hiking, and mountain biking area. From the south take Rt 128 North to the Rt 133 exit. At the bottom of the ramp turn left onto Rt 133. Parking is a small dirt lot on the left just after passing under Rt 128 and just before the entrance to a self storage facility. From the west take Rt 133 towards Glocester. The parking will be on the right just past the self storage facility and just across from the Rt 128 on ramp. The trail runs parallel to Rt 128 and the self storage facility. Please stay on the trail. The public is granted a right of way by the storage company. The trail is narrow, rocky and steep at times. There is a path that goes around the back of the cliffs. The cache is off a trail just beyond the cliff face. No bushwacking needed. Please take time to go to the top of the ledges after you find the cache. The view from the top is one of the best in the area. The bugs can be vicious on the trail so bug spray is a good idea. The hike in is about 15 minutes. Bring water and a lunch. There is always a light breeze on top keeping the bugs away and will be a great place to relax and take in the 360 degree view. I hope you like it as much as I do.
