WHERE: Hawk Wood Nature Center 3799 Bald Mtn. Rd, Auburn Hills MI
WHAT:Geocaching 101 + Potluck! Join us for an hour long session on what Geocaching is. After we will be searching for different caches that will be placed in the park. This event will start at the conclusion of the CITO.
WHY:To inform the public about Geocaching, and Geocaching in this beautiful nature center! There will also be a Boy Scout Meritt Badge Counselor present who will be able to help Scouts achieve their Geocaching Meritt Badge.
WHEN:Cost: One large Bag of Black Oil Sunflower Bird Seed per vehicle and a dish to pass for lunch
Sign in: 9:30-9:45a – at the Log Lodge
C.I.T.O. (Cache in Trash Out): 9:30 – 11:30 – experienced cachers will clean up the park at this time.
Geocaching 101: 10:30 – 11:30 – presentation for new cachers will take place in the Log Lodge.
Boy Scout Merit Badge: 9:30 – 11:30 – class will be taught by a BSA Merit Badge Counselor and will take place in the Nature Center.
New Caches: 11:30 – new caches will be handed out for everyone to discover.
Pot Luck Lunch: 1:00 – everyone bring a dish to pass and enjoy lunch in the Log Lodge.
Please sign up for an item as you log your 'Will Attend'. This is important so we can figure out what we need to feed everyone!
