Geocache Description:

Eunice Williams Bridge

Cached placed by GreenGO (Greenfield Geocaching Outreach)

This cache was placed in conjunction with Greenfield's celebration of its 200th year as the County Seat of Franklin County.

We obviously needed to include a covered bridge in our little celebration.

We will let you discover the story of Eunice Williams on your own as it is quite the tale. But do take the time to walk down past the cache area and visit the bridge.

Please bring your own pencil.

Be sure to record the letter code (found inside the lid) as you need it to solve Franklin County County Seat Jubilee cache.

You are looking for a container that should be available year round.

During the Irene flood (August 2011) the bridge was knocked off its foundation. Thus the bridge has been condemned.

10.21.2011 Bridge to be saved.

Bridge has been fully resored and is open to all traffic.
