About this Cache:
Mjóifjörður is a village of 35 people in East Iceland, sitting on a fjord of the same name.
In early 20th century, the village was a Norwegian whaling station.
The village also hosted the Dalatangi light, Iceland's first lighthouse.
It is often referred as the smallest village in the country, and one of the most diverse.
You will find a still area in a beautiful fjord and a old ship.
Some times in winter it is 4WD necessary. Look at the road sign.
Turn left at this intersection to the fjord Mjóifjörður, and the lighthouse dalatangi.
