Gerrygonz1 placed Extreme New Hampshire: Wantastiquet Mountain
Vista (GC30D7Z) nearby. I went looking for a place that was
extremer!
Yes, maybe that should read more extreme. But extremer is more
so.
You can make this as extreme as you like, but maybe the best way
would be to rappel in from a helicopter! If you have to go on foot,
make your way to the tower at the top of Wantastiquet Mountain. The
main trail up to the tower is almost two miles. Then you will have
a quarter mile or more of bushwhacking. Any more direct way will be
even harder (aside from the afore mentioned helicopter).
I've provided some waypoints to help you find the easiest way. I
managed to find some game trails and easy ways around rock
formations. As you get closer, you may have to do some scrambling
around bushes and over rocks. I saw some fairly fresh moose
droppings along the way. If a moose can do it...
Once at the cache site, the view south is amazing. The cache is a
pre-bottle, just hanging around in one of Gerrygonz1's favorite
hiding places.
