Travelling North from Tauranga for approx 15 - 20 min, turn left onto Barret Road, left again onto Old Highway and right onto Whakamarama Road.
Once on Whakamarama Road USE YOUR GPS (approx 10 minute drive). Note you will need to turn off onto side road to find waypoint at Carpark.
Enter bush at main entrance. Walking either way on Loop Track you need to find the sign pointing the direction of the old Tramline - NO EXIT.
Follow Tramline to fence.
