Geocache Description:

The Forgotten Path
This is in memory of all the people that walked this pathway day and night from the two big houses of Beedingwood which was the staff residence and Roffey Park House a rehabilitation Centre, later known as Roffey Park Hospital.

The origins of Roffey Park were founded in wartime Britain when the well-being of some individuals was being adversely affected by long working hours combined with the anxieties created by frequent
bombing raids, rationing and family members fighting in the armed forces. In 1943, a Council of industrial and commercial companies took the bold decision to set up a Rehabilitation Centre to treat people in industry who were suffering from overwork, nervousness strain, and depression.
If you wish to find more about the Roffey Park and Beedingwood house there lots of info on the internet.

The Cache is located down a footpath off Forrest road which runs between the town of Horsham and the village of Colgate.
There is parking 20 yards up from the footpath sign for two cars.
The cache is just off the main footpath through the wooded area and is well hidden and you will need to use your Geocaching skills to seek it out.
While walking through look out for the old 1950s street lights on the trees and Good Luck
