This area of Mountain View was home to pioneering companies in the semiconductor industry. Unfortunately, it's also home to some of the remnants of the development and manufacturing process for that industry.
This virtual cache points out three facilities that are part of the cleanup for the Fairchild Semiconductor super-fund site. These are located among office buildings that house the current wave of technology companies: mobile communications, computer software and Internet services.
To me, these look like something that should be in a game of Myst or Riven. What knobs should I tweak? What buttons should I push?
