A cache in the Kingdom Hearts tribute series, tributing the first game in the series.
"Kingdom Hearts" is the eponymous first game of the Kingdom Hearts series. It came about by a chance meeting between a Square executive and a Disney executive. It crosses over characters and places from many Disney properties with characters from the Final Fantasy games.
(POSSIBLE SPOILERS FOR THE KINGDOM HEARTS SERIES PLOT MAY FOLLOW)
It follows the story of three original characters: Sora, Riku, and Kairi. The trio gets broken up when their homeworld, Destiny Islands, is attacked and destroyed by dark beings known as Heartless.
Meanwhile, King Mickey has disappeared from Disney Castle because many worlds are suffering the same fate. He sends his chief knight, Goofy, and chief mage, Donald Duck, out to find the "key." This turns out to be Sora, the chosen wielder of the Keyblade.
Sora, Donald, and Goofy go off on a quest to save the worlds while searching for Riku, Kairi, and The King. But with a team of Disney villains facing them, will they ever succeed?
