twilighter: We came to check on the pond conditions and to check on a couple other caches we have nearby... I've replaced this cache 3 times already and it doesn't get visited very often -- and as much as we'd like to keep this one going, it's time to let this one go. Our other cache on the far side of the pond will now take the place of "Five if by sea".

Geocache Description:

This is the second of my Horton Pond caches. The Mont Vernon Conservation Commission works to ensure development has no adverse impact on our natural resources and open spaces, including Horton Pond. In 1987 Mont Vernon adopted this part of the pond as a public boat launch identified by a hard to see sign and inconspicuous entrance. Driving slow will help in finding it. The pond is open to anyone, fishing allowed and canoeing and kayaking encouraged.

You'll need a kayak or canoe to find this one. The cache container is small, so bring your own pen. Stay dry--nuff said.
