Geocache Description:

This is a pretty easy cache but well worth it if it gets you to use the computer you are reading this on to do a little research of your own on what Sam Slater means to our history.
Please do not park on the side of the road. The large parking lot is open at all times.

While this cache is simple I hope that it is the start of your research to who Sam Slater was and how important he was to our country. What a great time to release a cache to honor the father of the American Industrial Revolution. While he started his first mill in Rhode Island he soon moved to Webster, founded the town and started the Slater mill where Cranston Print Works is currently located. This cache is located at the site of a memorial in his honor.
For some unknown reason this cache seems to get muggled so please be sure to replace the cache as found in the same spot.
