Geocache Description:

This traditional cache is located at the ruins of Old Inverlochy Castle

'Old Inverlochy Castle,' was built late in the 13th century and was the host to both the first and second battles of Inverlochy. It was built by the mighty family of Comyn who occupied it only into the very beginning of the 14th century. Since then, the has castle changed hands many times and now stands as an impressive ruin, maintained by Historic Scotland.

A note of caution: Be wary when searching for this cache, there may be more than just muggles (and midges!) lurking near these ruins..!

Good Luck...

(There is a plaque marking the second battle of Inverlochy 400m from these ruins at the top of the 'Primrose Hill'. There is a cache at this site (GC3H0BK) from where you will have great views of the surrounding area).
