This is one of a series of caches placed either on or a few feet away from The Norbital. You are looking for a small clip box with room for a TB or very few small swaps.
The Norbital is a fairly new circular cycle route around Northampton. The word itself is a portmanteau, a word made up of two others; in this case, Northampton and Orbital. Caches have been set up at regular intervals along this cycle route incorporating a variety of cache sizes and hiding styles.
The route is approximately 18 miles (29km) long and runs around the periphery of Northampton. It also crosses other on and off-road cycle routes that you can use in combination with Norbital to easily get into the town centre by bike should you want to make your own shorter circular route. The Norbital is clearly signed with the blue cycle network signs (route 539) so you shouldn’t get lost! The signs not only indicate distance but also the average times.
We chose the Norbital as a safe cycle route because it is predominantly on dedicated cycle tracks separated from traffic, with just a few short sections that use quiet residential streets. 100% of the route is on a paved tarmac surface and 90% of the route is lit to a high standard so is useable all year round.

This building was Northampton’s courthouse from the 17th to the 20th century and still has some of the ancient cells. Northampton is steeped in history so please do pay some of the historical sights a visit whilst you are here.
Parking is available nearby for some, not all of the caches as this is intended as a cycle route. If you do choose to use other forms of transport, please be careful and do so at your own risk.
