This is our fourth grandchild cache in the Weld area. Will it be our last? That's not up to us! We chose this area since our family lived here when we first moved to Maine over 20 years ago. The location of this cache is the old Weld School, since K.G.'s mother started her school days here, in Mrs. Amos' classroom. The school has been closed for a few years, sold and converted into a nice, little village store. When we explained to the owner what geocaching was and why we selected this spot for a cache hide, he was very happy to allow us to do so. We are asking that you park off to the right side of the store so we do not interfer with his business operation. The terrain around the store is very open and level, with a small hill behind the building, therefore, if you find yourself bushwacking, you are "way off the mark". You need to recheck your coords! Be careful if you go out behind the chain link fence, there is a drop off into the nearby stream. After making this very easy find, visit the store for a drink, a snack, or even a meal.
