Merty Mt. (McLoughlin) Multi-cache

This cache has been archived.

HsSrvnt: Due to so many cachers who have sadly DESTROYED my caches and NOT followed the rules and many others who obviously cannot handle anything over a 1 1/2 rating and yet still go for harder caches and then complain and write crappy notes to other viewers or myself and family, I am archiving my caches so all you who fit in either category can then place your PERFECT cache for all to find. Enjoy

Thanks to all who actually did the caches correctly - FINDING, SIGNING and TAKING CARE of someone else's hard work.

Geocache Description:

This is a two stage multi-cache in which the coords are NOT the final coords. You will NOT find a cache container at the first spot. Instead you will find 3 sticks which are next to a large rock in which underneath that rock are smaller rocks to which you will use to find the answer to the puzzle that will lead you to the final stage and a BIG thumbs up to all who find it. NOTE: This is a 5.5 mile hike with an elevation gain of 4000’. BE PREPARED.

Subtract the CREAM rocks from the ??.?6.??? in the first coords. Add the PURPLE and the GREEN rocks together with the ??.??.6?? in the first coords. Subtract the RED, ORANGE, and PURPLE rocks from the ??.??.?7? in the first coords. Add the CREAM and WHITE rocks together with the ??.??.??1 in the first coords. (OR count the total number of rocks and multiply it by (pi to the 100th place divided by 10) and subtract 6.671 from that total, add 7.69 and replace that total with the ?'s in 42.2?.???) Add the CREAM, RED, GREEN, ORANGE, WHITE and GREY rocks together and multiply by 1975, divide by 1000, then subtract 5 multiplied by 3 and subtract 18.960 from that total and replace that total with the 122.??.??? If by chance the rocks have been taken, please e-mail me what is written on the rock that is by the coords and the direction the arrow is pointing. PLEASE sign the log before you head up as I am working with the ranger in trying to keep an accurate number of people that climb the mountain so that better trails, and/or markers can be put up there. This accurate count is very important so please sign the hikers log at the beginning of the trail. THANKS and have a great climb. This has been placed with permission from the forest service, as the ranger I talked with told me caches are allowed up here, "For the time being, until the waiver is signed to ban all caches". Also this cache is made up so that no trash is brought up there and the mountain remains as natural as it was before the cache was placed. I aimed to make this cache to be a permanent cache, even if the waiver gets signed. So PLEASE DO NOT leave anything up there nor remove any part of the "puzzle" (rocks). Please be considerate of the area and pack out all trash you bring in and even any that you find up there. Let's keep the forest clean. This is a CITO cache. The actual cache is larger but only room for very small items, if any at all. There is a FTF TB coin that would love to be moved on. Please be careful on your hike. Pack plenty of water, snacks and please stay on the ridge when coming down so you don't get lost. Also, be careful of the area of the final stage, which is not anywhere near the top, but will be convenient as you head home. There is a fee required at the closer parking spot. Coords provided for this parking.

You can validate your puzzle solution with certitude.
