Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions
in our disclaimer.
This is a micro (bring your own writing tool) that is easily
reached via a short walk along a wide path to the right of
the
Soldier's Monument. The cache is winter friendly, but the trail
may
be snow clogged so winter seekers may need skis or snowshoes
for
easy access.
The Peacham Pathways Roller Barn cache is the first of a
planned
series along some twenty miles of four season trails in the
idyllic
community of Peacham. Enjoy this historic and beautiful spot at
the
top of the hill above Peacham village. The Roller Barn is the
site
where history-minded citizens of Peacham have assembled an
amazing
collection of snow rollers - large rollers designed to be pulled
by
a team of horse's to pack down the snowy roads before the days
of
truck plows and graders. The snow roller project is a work in
progress and the rollers are only on display on special
occasions.
But have a seat, enjoy the view and relax in this wonderful
spot.
The best parking is along the road in front of the
soldier's
monument. Do not park in front of the firehouse.
Congratulations to EKU66 on bagging the FTF!
