Geocache Description:

A guide around the village of Holywell-cum-Needingworth

A guide around the parish of Needingworth-cum-Holywell including some geocaches and waymarks.

Wherigo is a GPS based activity that can be played outdoors, which was created by Groundspeak. A simple description is a mix between an adventure game and a geocache search. People can develop self-enclosed story files (called "cartridges") that are installed on a GPS enabled unit along with a player program.

The player and story take advantage of the location information provided by the GPS to trigger in-game events, such as reaching a virtual object or interacting with characters. Completing an adventure can require reaching different locations and solving puzzles.
In order to play this Wherigo you will need to download the cartridge from Here into a suitable GPS enabled device. These include PDAs, various GPSr’s and some smart phones. It has been tested successfully on my PDA (HP iPAQ). Please do not look at this in the ‘emulator’ as that will detract from your experience on the day of your visit.
