Geocache Description:

The cache is located at the given coordinates inside the Italian border bunker. You'll need a good hiking boots and a flash light.

To log the cache you'll have to open the lock. To get the right combination you must find the numbers of following things:

A = (number of entries)
B = (number of machine gun places - 1)
C = (number of vertical sides of the stairs in the bunker)

You have all the numbers you need; you'll just have to figure out the right combination. There are just 6 possible combinations. Just for fun write down in which attempt you succeeded in unlocking the cache.

Inside the bunker be careful not to bump your head. Also there are two holes in the ground at the beginning of the cache so... Be careful!

How to get to the location? There are many paths, roads and ways. From Tromeja/ Dreilendereneck/ Monte Forno there's a forest path that goes west from the peak. It will take you about 15-20 minutes.

From Ratece it will take you about 1-1.5 hour to get there (3-4 kilometers in one direction). In winter time, raise terrain from 3 to 4. You can drive up the forest road to the Planinski dom Tromeja and park it along the road. This way it will take you only half an hour. From there you follow tractor road west up the slope. During winter time it's recommended you have snow shoes.

You can get by car also from the Italian side. In Fusine in val Romana is a crossroads. Look for the sign Monte Forno.

It's a one day hiking tour for all the geocachers, if you decide to make a 360° tour and visit all the geocaches in the area: Tromeja, Skitour auf's Dreiländereck, Dreiländereck Downhill, Encian and Italian border bunker 1#.

Happy geocaching and be safe!
