Call it the mystery of the missing New Hampshire rock. A 1,000-pound chunk of granite believed to have sat on a corner in Amherst since the mid-1700s telling travelers "Bedford 7M's" was stolen in September 2010, coinciding with the community's 250th birthday.
Once revealed in the news, this 1,000-pound chunk of granite reappeared. Not to put blame, but at the time the rock was stolen, there was a road crew working with heavy equipment working in the area for a few weeks installing a guard rail and fixing a drainage ditch. Regardless, the marker is back. It is pretty worn, but if you look closely, you can make out the words "Bedford 7Ms".
This is a small camo'd pill container. You will need a pen for the log.
