Zaklad je skrit v Prešernovem gaju
Cache is hidden in Prešeren's Grove

SLO:Prešernov gaj so leta 1952 preuredili po nacrtih arhitekta Marjana Šorlija iz prej opušcenega kranjskega pokopališca. Gaj je v lasti Mestne obcine Kranj. Prenova je potekala pod strokovnim vodstvom Zavoda za varstvo kulturne dedišcine Slovenije, Obmocne enote Kranj. Prostor je zasnovan kot gaj zaradi svoje zgodovinske vloge in pietete. Je prostor pocitka, premišljevanja in kulturnega navdiha. Tlakovane kamnite potke se z vseh strani zakljucijo v osrednjem delu gaja s prehodno lopo na osmih stebrih s trikrat deljeno polkrožno streho. Ob kranjski župni cerkvi Sv. Kancijana so ob koncu 18. stoletja opustili pokopališce in zaceli pokopavati zunaj mesta, na malem kranjskem polju, prostoru današnjega Prešernovega gaja. Pokopališce se je ob koncu 19. stoletja precej razširilo, leta 1939 pa so ga opustili zaradi prostorske stiske. Na opušcenem pokopališcu so ohranili le nekaj najbolj pomembnih zgodovinskih nagrobnikov in kulturnih spomenikov, ki so nagrobni spomenik Francetu Prešernu, nagrobni spomenik Simonu Jenku, Majdicev mavzolej, doprsni kip Franceta Prešerna, spomenik bazoviškim žrtvam, na stebrišcni lopi je vzidan nagrobnik Janezu Puharju, izumitelju fotografije na steklo in posmrtni ostanki Prešernove hcere Ernestine Jelovšek.

ENG:Prešeren's Grove was renovated from Kranj's abandoned cemetry by the plans of architect Marjan Šorlij. Grove is property of municipality Kranj. The renovation was guided by Institute for protection of cultural heritage of Slovenia. The place is designed as grove, because of its historical part. It is a place to relax, meditation and cultural inspiration. Paved stone paths from all sides, finish in central part of grove where is a shad. By the end of 18th century, they abandoned burying by the church of St. Kancijan and started inthe grove. The cemetry was moved again in the year 1939. On the grove they left some important historical gravestones.
