Geocache Description:

This cache is part of a series of caches with a mythological theme, all created by students at The Riverside School in Lyndonville. We hope that you enjoy learning something about our favorite myths!

Myth: Zeus is the king of the Greek gods. He was one of the many children of Cronus and Rhea. Zeus was the youngest of the children, and the only child not to get eaten by Cronus, because Rhea fed Cronus a rock instead and hid Zeus on a an island. Many years later, when Zeus had matured, he convinced Rhea to make a potion that would cause Cronus to throw up all his siblings he had eaten. Together they then killed Cronus and Zeus became the new king of the gods. His symbols are the lightning bolt and the eagle.
