Das Skelett:
Die Gewässer vor Fuerteventuras Ostküste sind sehr reich an Walen und Delfinen, die hier entweder dauerhaft leben oder auf ihren langen Wanderungen an der Insel vorbeiziehen.

Das 14,5 m lange Skelett von Jandia gehört zu einem Pottwal, der vor einigen Jahren auf natürliche Weise starb und auf Fuerteventura strandete.

Es gibt derzeit (Stand November 2011) zwei weitere Wal-Skelette auf Fuerteventura zu entdecken.
Einen Finnwal von 19m Länge in Salinas del Carmen und einen Cuvier-Schnabelwal von ca. 6m Länge am Leuchtturm an der Punta de Jandia.

Sie alle sind Teil des Projektes „senda de los cetáceos“ (Weg der Meeressäuger),
in dessen Rahmen rund ein Dutzend solcher Skulpturen aufgestellt werden sollen.

Der Cache:
Begib Dich zur vorderen Säule des Wal-Skeletts und stell Dich auf die runde Bodenplatte.
Peile von hier aus 58 Meter in Richtung 100 Grad.
Dort findest Du die Dose unter einem Stein.
Bitte achte bei Deiner Suche auf Muggel und tarne den Cache wieder gut!

The Skeleton:
There are many wales and dolphins around the waters at the east coast of Fuerteventura - permanently living here or passing this island on their long, natural migrations.

The Jandia Skeleton, with a lenght of 14,5 m belongs to a pot whale that has stranded on Fuerteventura some years ago after it naturally died.

Currently (Nov. 2011) two more Whale-Skeletons can be discovered on Fuerteventura. A fin whale with a length of 19 m at Salinas del Carmen and a beaked whale with a length of approx. 6 m nearby the lighthouse at the Punta de Jandia.

All of them are part of a project called „senda de los cetáceos“ (Way of the marine mammals). Within the scope of this project, round about a dozen of such skulptures are planned to be installed.

The Cache:
Betake yourself to the front pillar below the head of the skeleton and take place on the round ground plate.
From this point take a bearing of 58 meters and 100 degrees.
There you'll find the box below a stone. Please beware of the muggles and keep the Cache masked.
