Plooturahalöytö
Gerbystä Marjapolku 3:sta löytyi kesällä 1988 rakennustöiden yhteydessä 4 kpl plooturahoja 1650-luvulta. Rahat oli kätketty kivenhalkeamaan aivan silloisen rannan tuntumaan. Löydetyt rahat ovat hyvin harvinaisia ja plooturahan historiaa valaisevina erittäin merkittäviä.

A = 2 taaleria, 1652, näitä rahoja on aikaisemmin tunnettu vain 2 kpl
B = 2 taaleria, 1654, näitä rahoja on aikaisemmin tunnettu vain 7 kpl
C = 2 taaleria, vuosiluku epäselvä (Kristiina, 1653?)
D = 1 taaleri, vuosiluku epäselvä (Kaarle X Kustaa, 1655-1660)

Plåtmyntsfynd
Sommaren 1988 hittades 4 st plåtmynt från 1650-talet i samband med byggnadsarbeten i Gerby vid Bärstigen 3. Mynten var gömda i en spricka i ett stenblock alldeles invid den dåvarande strandlinjen. De upphittade mynten är mycket sällsynta och betydande genom att de belyser plåtmyntens tidiga historia.

A = 2 daler, 1652, från förut känner man endast till 2 stycken av detta mynt.
B = 2 daler, 1654, från förut känner man endast till 7 stycken av detta mynt.
C = 2 daler, årtalet oklart (Kristina, 1653?)
D = 1 daler, årtalet oklart (Karl X Gustav, 1655-1660)

Cache of copper plate money
In the summer of 1988, 4 pieces of plate, minted in the 1650´s were found during construction work done at Marjapolku 3 in Gerby. The money was hidden in a crack in a boulder near the shoreline of the time. These coins are very rare and significant in that they are important examples of the early types of plate money.

A = 2 daler, 1652, only 2 examples of this type of coin were previously known
B = 2 daler, 1654, only 7 examples of this type of coin were previously known
C = 2 daler, date uncertain (Christina, 1653?)
D = 1 daler, date uncertain (Charles X Gustav, 1655-1660)

E = A - 1
F = B + 6
G = C + 1
