Geocache Description:

THIS IS A MULTI NIGHT CACHE and should be attempted at NIGHT ONLY. The 3 containers are small “lock in lock” Tupperware type containers. They have a small white reflector attached to it.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The above co-ordinates are for the start of the multi-night cache and walk towards the SOUTH WEST (soon you will see a reflective marker that will guide you to the 1st container).

hold your torch or flash-light at eye level so that you get the maximum “back flash” from the reflectors. Look for and walk towards single WHITE reflective markers that will guide you to the 1st container. When you get a little bit closer 2 ORANGE reflectors side by side will guide you to it’s location ( “see additional hints” for all 3)

When you have found it, have a friend with pencil & paper ready (a must), open the bag, shine your light and get the co-ordinates and direction for the start point for the 2nd container (no reflectors to the start,ONLY REFLECTORS FROM START TO FINDING CONTAINER) and so on until you find the 3rd and last one “the cache box” with log. Please, please replace the bag carefully - you will understand and ENSURE ALL CONTAINERS ARE SECURE WHEN PLACING THEM BACK. thanks Jim

THE 1ST TWO CONTAINERS each contain a black drawstring bag only with co-ordinates and a direction that will guide you. the last "CACHE BOX" contains the logbook also with black drawstring bag with a special message inside.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Remember to bring equipment with you - this includes a charged mobile phone, Spare batteries for GPS and torch.

IMPORTANT - PLEASE TELL FRIENDS ABOUT YOUR PLANS FOR THE NIGHT CACHE HUNT & FOR YOUR OWN PIECE OF MIND DON’T DO THIS ALONE, BRING A FRIEND (it does get pretty dark and for your own safety) it should take you approx. 45 minutes to find all three containers.

if you have found the cache and enjoyed it, please don’t leave spoilers in your found log.

A special thanks goes to nikki mulholland and Gary Robertson at Dundee city council who kindly gave their permission for the night cache along with all the residents nearby, so please consider all householders close by (they have been warned that people may be walking around the hill with torches).

IMPORTANT NOTICE :- Dundee council and geocaching.com are not responsible for the safety, injury or otherwise to persons taking part. I have avoided areas with heavy undergrowth etc…...

NOTE :- at the moment you can access balgay hill from scott st/glamis road, the car park at the observatory is open till 10pm mon-fri and closes at 4pm at the weekends, you can park there but please avoid Fridays as they have special nights for visitors and members and space is very limited. You can gain 24/7 access to the hill by parking near Scott street or glamis road and then just use the public footpaths/road at balgay. Waypoints are included for all access to balgay. IMPORTANT :- THEY PADLOCK THE GATES FOR CAR ACCESS SOON AFTER CLOSING, best to use the parking waypoints ive included and go to the start by foot.
