Geocache Description:

If you are at the school you are in the wrong place.

No kidding there he was FreddyFF was on the cache hunt. He had spent his whole day at work sitting around watching TV and generally had nothing to do. While he was happy it was a quiet day we was wound up tighter than a spring. So when the bell didn’t ring he grabbed his GPSr and was headed out for a hunt. He received notice of a new cache in the area and wow was it going to be huge. He raced out the door and his steps were about 10 feet long as he headed south. He cleared his way along Ashburn Road and came to the W&OD trail. He could smell the BBQ and had to stop to fill his tummy with something yummy. When he placed his order they asked how much he wanted and he looked them straight in the eye and said, “I can eat as much as you can bring.” So they started carrying out plates of BBQ. There was pulled pork, brisket, ribs, chicken and slaw to go with them all. The cook ran through all that was ready and looked at the smokers and said to Freddy “There ain’t no more to be had. You’ve eaten 2 cows, 3 pigs and a enough chickens to stuff 10 feather beds.” Freddy left them but not before guzzling down 20 gallons of sweet tea cause he had a mighty big thirst and 10 gallons just wouldn’t quench it. He was zeroing in on the new cache when he found himself walking into a park. *Splat* He looked down and said “Not all over my new shoes”. But that gave him a moment to notice that he wasn’t going the right way so he came around and found himself at the school. Realizing he was in the wrong spot he took a few steps back and with a running start leapt right over that school clearing it by 100 feet. He was just that excited to be on the hunt for the new cache. He landed on the east side of Ashburn Road in a muddy area and made his way back across the road zeroing in on the spot. He buzzed around the area like a bee that had a bit too much honey that had gone a bit bad. He zeroed in and saw the cache. He thought to himself ‘It’s like being back at work’ as he pulled out the largest cache he had ever found. It was so mammoth he could not believe it. He opened the container and was ready to put his pen to paper and claim the First to Find but what did he find? There was a name there it was hard to make out but the log said Smokiewolf. Freddy grumbled “Darn you BBQ for distracting me… It could have been a FTF too…”

And the lesson here fellow cachers is that in Northern Virginia if you are on a FTF hunt don’t get distracted otherwise Smokiewolf will beat you to it.
