As a young child I was led to believe that a tree with such a hollow was called an "Abba Dabba Tree".

This Abba Dabba Tree is over 700 years old and has a connection to the Aussie explorers Burke & Wills.

Please BYO pen - cache contains log only.

TEXT ADDED BY Friends_of_the_Trail ....................................................................... The tree, which was a birthing location for Dja Dja Wurrung women for 700 years, gained its name after members of a Burke and Wills rescue team camped under it during their 1861 mission. In 2011 a severe storm caused several large limbs to crash to the ground changing the once majestic shape we were used to seeing. Parking is available beside the road on both sides but please take extreme care, the road is a very busy country road. There is a brown Heritage Site sign on both approaches to allow time to check traffic and slow safely.
