I had a film container ready for a replacement of a cache I was seeking but it turned out that the cache was there. So what to do with it but put it in the woods. However, it's not far out - it's on the Water Works land abutting Sucker Brook which is formed by the confluence of Little Massabesic Brook and Clark Pond Brook. It then runs through the middle of Auburn into Lake Massabesic. You can see the remains of an old bridge abutment near GZ. There is parking in the lot between the Safety Center and the Village Cemetery. If you park here, follow the trail which loops around - there is no need to bushwack. Container has log only, no pen. Note: Some maps may call this stretch "Griffin Road" but it is not a public road and the first section is overgrown. Treat it as a MWW fire road. Congratulations wsax and BigRead - co-FTFs.
Due to the school construction of 2019-20, the road/trail has been improved and cleared of brush and poison ivy. However, vehicle travel is still not permitted.
