Geocache Description:

The cache is located in The Pisgah National Forest off the Andy Cove Nature Trail (USFS #288). This is an easy .7 mile loop with interpretive stations, boardwalks, a swinging bridge, Andy Cove Branch, a short hike through the forest and more. The elevation change is less than 200 feet.

The trailhead begins in the parking lot of the National Forest Visitor Information Center and Ranger Station off of Hwy 276. The parking coordinates are N35 17.110 W82 43.603.

Follow the nature trail to a path just before crossing Andy Cove Branch, your GPS should point the way. Follow this trail about 145 feet and you should be close to a tree that has fallen across the path. The cache is a 6X9" plastic container with a snap lid located about 30 feet up off the trail and is covered with leaves and bark.

If time permits check out more of our caches located nearby in the Pisgah National Forest.
