Sobretot gràcies a
edificis alts. Es va iniciar al 1984 i es va acabar entre el 1992 i
1993.
I finalment
interactives.
The set of promenade in
Platja d'Aro consists on 10 caches, 9 micros and a
mystery (container). You have to make a journey of approximately 2
kilometers up to the mouth of the river Ridaura and the promenade
until you get to Cavall Bernat. It's a very crowded area in Summer,
which means that you'll have to be very careful not to be
discovered during your research.
I
hope you enjoy this long and flat walk as well as its different
corners along the way.
Hey!
Don't forget to pick up the different clues that you will find so
that you can solve the final mystery.
Brief history of
the promenade of Platja d'Aro:
From
1920 it started the urbanization near the beach thinking of a city
summer resort, but it wasn't until the 50s and 60s when the
construction of properties and tourist areas were generalized
especially due to people who came from different parts of
Europe.
There
were over 30 projects to be done along the promenade but it was
Fuses-Viader from Girona who was chosen as the winner of the
architects' project. It was opted for the pedestrian walkway
because of the lack of space (about twenty meters wide) to give
tranquility on the beach. His proposal consisted on restoring the
ancient pine forest and take it to the beach across the promenade,
but so that it wasn't too monotonous over the nearly two kilometers
walk (from the stream Fanals to Riudaura) and coinciding with the
end of each cross street, architectural elements were devided
(fountains, swimming pools, landmarks, abstract monuments...) that
not only “placed” the pedestrian, but also were used to
place the facilities of the promenade and as a support for the tall
buildings. It began in 1984 and it ended between 1992 and
1993.
Finally, by 2008 there were made some small changes in the
lighting and the installation of games or interactive
sculptures.
