Escola Industrial de Barcelona

El recinte de l'escola industrial ocupa 4 illes de l'Eixample,
entre els carrers Urgell, Viladomat, Rosselló i Paris. Actualment
acullen L'escola del treball de Barcelona, l'Escola Universitària
d'Enginyeria Tècnica Industrial de Barcelona i les piscines Sant
Jordi a més d'unes instal·lacions esportives i zones d'esbarjo.
Els edificis de caire modernista van ser construïts entre el
1868 i 1869 i varen acollir la fàbrica tèxtil de Can Batlló. L'any
1908 van ser adquirits per la Diputació de Barcelona i s'hi ubicà
l'Escola Industrial de Barcelona. L'any 1914 s'hi va inaugurar
l'Escola Elemental del Treball, predecessora de les escoles
actuals.

The enclosure of the Industrial School occupies four city
blocks, including the streets Urgell Viladomat, Rosselló and Paris.
It currently houses the Work School of Barcelona, the ??School of
Industrial Engineering of Barcelona and Sant Jordis pool also has
sports facilities and playgrounds.
The modernist buildings were built between 1868 and 1869 and
they welcomed the textile factory of Can Batlló. In 1908 they were
acquired by the Barcelona Provincial Council and contains the
Industrial School of Barcelona. In 1914 it opened the Elementary
School of Work predecessor of today's schools.
