It's time to clean up Roosevelt Park in Fond du Lac!
The posted coordinates are for the parking area along Winnebago Drive. This will be a 1 hour Cache In-Trash Out Event. One of the 4 main purposes of the Wisconsin Geocaching Association is to promote CITO and Leave No Trace programs to help in the maintenance of parks and trail systems.
The CITO Event will be held from 9-10 AM at Roosevelt Park. This park is on the south end of Lake Winnebago. The wave action and lake breezes tend to draw trash like a magnet to this shoreline! We're hoping the ice will be out by this date.
I have included the 'Wading' icon in the Attributes. Please post in your "Will Attend" log if you could bring hip boots to gather any trash in the shallow water.
Trash bags and snacks will be provided. Bring some gloves that can get NASTY! Let's show the Fond du Lac area that the local cachers care about their environment and appreciate the privelage of placing many caches in the area!
