Stage 1
N 32º25.962
W 080º40.230

During the battle of Port Royal, Union forces attempted to shell this location. Union intelligence had been informed that the Confederates were going to disguise this location as a church by building a steeple on top of it. This was not done and the Union fired at the tallest steeple in town, the church located near stage 2. To get there you will need the following:

What does the A in BVA stand for?

_A_________________________
123455627

What year was the BVA commisioned?

____8_______
BCDF

What was the date of the battle for Port Royal?

_1____/_0____/____________
GHJKMNOP

Stage 2

N______º______._________
TFRODFT

W_________º______._________
JNJIDILT
Use the information from stage 1 to fill in the blanks.

If you look carefully at the section that is in front of you, you will notice that a large semi-circular portion is slightly darker than the rest. This is were one of the Union cannonballs hit. When it was repaired different materials where used than in the original which gives it the darker appearance. The Union didn't hit the church, due to divine intervention or just their bad aim I'll let you decide.

To log this cache email me with what it is you are standing in front of as well as the name of the church it protects.
