Geocache Description:

trail came get muddy

Congrats to CacherKat w/ In2Jeep for the after midnight FTF

Located just off of the old Narrow Gauge Rail Trail which is all part of the new (Bay Circuit Trail System).

The Fawn Lake Conservation Area in Bedford is a popular destination for lunchtime walkers, science groups from the nearby Lane School, and others who enjoy the easy trails and natural setting. We’ve noticed an abundance of turtles in this pond! There is a self-guided nature trail and plenty of nice spots for a family picnic. The water’s healing powers are legendary.

This cache is located in the woods to the South of the lake. There’s a parking area off of Sweetwater Ave. along the abandoned railroad tracks (N42˚30.843’, W71˚16.556’) just East of the pond.

You will need stealth while searching for this cache. Ground zero is visible from the rail trail and from a long distance in either direction.

This is a very scenic area with many trails, hills, streams and ponds. Be sure to enjoy your walk as you look for this cache.

You should be able to stay on the existing trails for most of your hunt.

Please be sure to re-hide the cache for the next geocacher.

04/18/2014: I added the Cross Country Skis and Snowshoes Attributes to the cache listing. They are not required but with snow on the ground this is a wonderful area for these activities.
