Ce Château fut la résidence de François 1er, Henri IV, Louis XIII puis Louis XIV qui finit par l’abandonner au profit de Versailles.
Sans le support royal le château se dégrada de propriétaires en propriétaires jusqu’au comte Reinach Cessac qui le céda à deux administrateurs de biens.
Ceux-ci en feront don à la société d’entraide des membres de la légion d’honneur pour y créer une maison de retraite.
Actuellement le château rénové a toujours cette destinée, mais peut également organiser dans ses locaux vos fêtes familiales (mariage, anniversaire, baptême, communion) ou des séminaires d’entreprises.
