Geocache Description:

Visit small town America named for the grand places of the old world

Have you ever seen the grand cities of Europe? Rome with her Coliosseum, Athens with her Parthenon, London with that big clock? You haven't? Well, neither have I. But if you've ever looked at a map of the rural parts of the US (and I know you have, otherwise you wouldn't be geocaching, would you?), you'll find a London here, a Vienna there, or even the cradle of civilization, Mesopotamia. Having lived in Ohio and Kentucky all my life, i've seen plenty of these not-so famous world cities.

So, my mission to you is: to find one of these small towns named for famous old world places, like Mantua, Ohio (Coord's given are for Mantua Center), take your picture holding your GPS with some sign indicating the small town you've found, and record the GPS coords. And spend some time there, you'll enjoy it, they're mostly nice people. Diehard historians can delve into the mystery of how the town came to be known for its old world counterpart (or even that it isn't named for the more famous city.)

Post your photos to claim the prize, with the coordinates of the sign's location. Only the first at the spot gets to log it.

And please, only one "found" find per user. Notes of other cities are fine.

Enjoy.
