AnTsInRpAnTs: Unfortunately, after many years of stability, there have been too many problems with this cache being muggled, so it is being archived to make way for another cache to be set in due course.

Geocache Description:

This is one of a short, wheelchair accessible, series placed in Southwater Country Park.

The motivation for setting up this series by the COs was a recent accident suffered by Mrs AnT and the subsequent realisation of how few caches there were which were actually accessible from a wheelchair! We hope amongst all the cachers who will look for these hides they will be enjoyed by some who are, either temporarily or permanently, confined to a wheelchair for whatever reason.

If you are in a wheelchair and are unable to reach the ground, you will either need some assistance or some simple 'helping hands' to retrieve a couple of the caches.

Southwater Country Park is located in Southwater, near Horsham. The site covers 90 acres, surrounding the large Cripplegate Lake in the centre. The Downs Link Bridleway crosses the park, and there are a variety of options to take for a longer, more challenging walk. Halfway around the lake is a large childrens' playground with a range of equipment suitable for all ages. Entry to the park and parking are free. At the main entrance there is a Visitor Centre, cafe and toilets which are open weekends, but may have limited opening during the winter. A wide range of watersports are available on the lake, including canoeing, sailing and windsurfing, and there is plenty of wildlife to spot.

All 3 caches (GC3G37Q, GC3G378 and GC3G36R) are accessed from a hard-surfaced, relatively flat, path around the lake. We recommend starting with 'Pick me up at the bridge'.

The bonus cache (GC3G3FQ) is not far away on the Downs link, also accessible by wheelchair. You will need to note the letter and its value contained in each cache to work out the coordinates of the bonus.

Stealth will be required as this is a very popular area.

PLEASE NOTE:
Dog Owners: Between April and September all dog owners must keep their dogs on leads whilst walking in Southwater Country Park.

INFORMATION SPECIFIC TO THIS CACHE:

This cache is a 2-part multi cache. The first stage will give you the coordinates for the final cache which is a well-disguised, small plastic box containing a log book, pencil, sharpener and a few swaps. Room for small TBs and geocoins. Please do not remove the pencil or sharpener.

Contains small memento (clearly marked) for FTF!!

Once located, the cache is easily retrieved. Please ensure you replace it as it was found to avoid muggles spotting it.
