This is one in a series of caches entitled "Take a Hike". There are no puzzles, no multi's, no challenging hides in this series; instead, what they share in common is a good hike in the woods, enjoyable in any season.
I never know what I'm going to find when I go out scouting for a new "Take a Hike" cache. Places can often look intriguing on a map or Google Earth but then fall short in reality. This hike, though, was a pleasure, as I explored a couple of miles of trails that I had not been on before, and ultimately ended up at a scenic bend in the river, complete with a bench for contemplation. There are a few different parking possibilities, but I most liked the walk from the Mill Pond parking area, using the Riverbend and Indian River trails (a map can be found at the Related Web Page above). Enjoy your hike!
