Normalmente distinguida com a Bandeira Azul, a Praia do Pópulo é muito procurada, especialmente durante a época balnear.
Os veraneantes chegam de zonas mais ou menos próximas e vêm aqui retemperar as energias na hora de lazer, juntando-se a todos quantos apreciam o ar puro e refrescante da maresia.
O bar localizado nesta praia constitui também um ponto de atracção durante todo o ano.
