Geocache Description:

Photobucket

Have you ever been driving along and just HAD to turn around to take in the view and to place a cache? We know that some of you have had that experience. Well, this cache came to be from just such a scenario. We thought it was such a beautiful area. Not just the view of Martha's Vinyard Sound; but, also, the view of the area buildings. We didn't realize, until we were walking around, that this is the finish line of the Falmouth Road Race, an annual 7-mile foot race from Woods Hole to Falmouth.

There is a large parking lot and street parking nearby. During the summer months, the lot requires a sticker and the street has parking meters. During the off season there are no restrictions or meters. The race is in the middle of August, which will obviously affect access and parking during that time. You may want to check the race schedule if you plan to be in the area at that time of year. After, or before, finding the cache take time to enjoy the area and visit the nearby shops and restaurants.

We only took a couple of quick GPS readings so please feel free to indicate the accuracy of the coordinates. We will gladly adjust them if we consistently see corrected coordinates in the online logs. It should be a pretty quick find regardless... other than the muggle factor, of course.

***** Congratulations to Kathymo1 for the FTF!! *****
