Geocache Description:

This cache is part of a series of caches dedicated to the reminiscence and admiration of Roseville’s early dwellers.  It is part of a series of caches called:  “CACHE OUT IN ROSEVILLE”

Johnson Pool was privately built in 1921.  It was a welcome addition to Roseville summertime activities in the hot central California valley.   It was acquired by the Johnson Family in 1947.  The Johnson's (of Johnson Ranch fame) operated the facility until 1963, when it was donated to the City of Roseville.  The pool was rebuilt in 1964.  I like to look at the ramps to the pool entrance on the northern side.   I picture them full of people of all ages – eagerly waiting their turn to COME MAKE A SPLASH.  (“Reflections – The Official City of Roseville newsletter” – 2009)
