Mycology 101 Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Wis Kid: As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.

Geocache Description:

Pull up a stool and put on your thinking caps, class is now in session. Mycology 101 will commence shortly. Professor Mushroom420 will lead the trip this afternoon. I hope that you'll find this course very, very stemulating. Upon completion of this course, you should have the skills to pay the gills :-) (/ending awful puns, haha)

Cache is located off a wide, slightly sloping, scenic path at Big Hill Park. Please, tread lightly. There is no habitat destruction required to find this cache and you can stick to the path(s) at the waypoints I have given. There is no need to flip rocks, stomp vegetation, or otherwise harm the area to find!!!
Use caution at GZ, watch your step so you don't step on a loose rock. You do NOT have to climb all the way up that hill, in case your GPSr is trying to take you all the way up. It is approx 5-8 feet ABOVE (elevation) the trail you came in on. Use the thin tree there (hint) to help you step back down safely.

Help keep this park beautiful. A handful of litter picked up per visitor can go a long way
This one may prove to be more difficult than one might think. It is not a "normal" cache container, hence the vague description I've provided.

All the needed information has been given....one way or another :-) Tweezers have been left at GZ to retrieve log out of the cache if needed. (they're right next to it, just hidden, along with a pen) You may want to bring your own writing stick in case the pen comes up missing or isn't working.
Difficulty levels have been upped due to cache's final location and the tree cover which may make pinpointing a little more difficult. congrads to dingoagogo for the FTF .......if you're coming up empty and are determined to find this on your next visit, please feel free to message me for additional hints. I don't mind.... and p.s. if your ground zero reading is not helping you find this one, try what others have suggested and walk away 100 feet and try again.
