The Seekonk Land Conservation Trust (SLCT) is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving the distinctive landscapes and natural resources in the town of Seekonk, MA.
The Cushing Conservation Area was donated to the SLCT by Elizabeth and Harold Cushing in 1973. The area has a pond as well as a number of springs and streams, partly enclosed by thick woods. Those attributes provide good nesting places for water fowl.
In 1993 the Gerie Zaretsky Memorial was established near the pond to honor the work of this past SLCT president.
The cache is a small waterproof container, located within 15 feet of a path.
No need for bushwacking - stay on the main trails until you are within 15' of GZ.
Note: Parts of the trail can be swampy after heavy rains.
