Riverside Walk Traditional Cache
Graham51: I'm unable to get out to fix this up at the moment so I'll archive it. Maybe I'll put another one somewhere nearby when all this Covid-19 business has been resolved.

This 2 kilometre long walking track follows the route of the old Dromedary Road. It has a gravel base and is level, making it a perfect destination for walking, jogging, cycling or walking the dog (on a lead.)
The track follows the shore of The Derwent River. This is part of the River Derwent Marine Conservation Area which was originally proclaimed for black swans in 1920, then as a sanctuary for all birds in 1941 and most recently in 2009.
As you make your way to the cache you should see a variety of waterbirds including black swans, ducks, pelicans, cormorants and many more. As many of these make their nests on the shore dogs should be kept on a lead when being exercised in this area.
Please park at the given location. Taking the shortest route involves crossing a very busy railway line which is both unsafe and trespassing.
