Sellet Bridge Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

martlakes: The water is coming! Visited tonight and the intention is to go at least as far as this bridge and maybe most of the way towards the next road. Couldn't get to the cache tonight, but will try and return and remove it.
The tow-path is still open, although muddy, and some impressive work going on.
So will archive this one as it won't be reachable except by boat shortly!

Geocache Description:

The Lancaster Canal offers great walking in peaceful surroundings.

This cache is along the first dry section of the canal as it heads towards Kendal.  The water ends at Stainton and the dry bed continues to Hincaster Tunnel.  Nature and wildlife are colonising the canal and the Canal Trust are maintaining it with an eye to both restoration and conservation.

You can park at either end of this dry section, at either Stainton or Well Heads Lane.
