Geocache Description:

Come join us for an event with a difference.

Event Time: 9:30PM

How about a water event near the shortest day of the year ? That's what I thought as well, it will be cold. What if I told you it was 26 degrees C in the water ?

Year around the Hazelwood Cooling pondage is 26 Degree's.

The logbook will be about 1km of shore. So a blow up boat will be able to do it.
* Log book might be a bit difficult to retrieve...(evil grin)

We request you only bring human powered watercraft since there will likely be boogy boards and blow up boats

There will be Hot water on the boil for Tea and Coffee for after the event. Lighting around the ramp launch area. If we get enough "Will Attend" logs I will try to also arrange a BBQ - There will be a BBQ :)

Update: 20/6/2012
Expect the fog to be very heavy on the pond giving very little visibility.
Please bring a white light preferably attached to your boat.
If you can also bring a glow stick so you can still easily be spotted in the water. I have found them cheap in the fishing section of BigW.
At the boat ramp ( see additional waypoints) there will be a "in the water" log to record people entering and leaving the water. Please enter your name and time in the water when you about to leave the shore and then enter the time out of the water when you get back. (this log is not the cache log)
Try to stay in groups. It will be easier to find and sign the cache log that way too.
We would like the finding and signing of the log to start by 9:30 so try to be there early.
Hot water and hot food should be ready at 10-10:15 so try to get of the water by that time.
Bring a warm change of cloths so we can enjoyed each others company over a beverage and some food afterwards.
Based on the "I will attend" logs and the other teams who have contacted me I expect we will be catering for about 10 people. If you intend to come and still have not logged as such please post the log or send me a private message.
Have fun and enjoy yourself.
