Geocache Description:

Located on Gilman Island in the middle of the Connecticut River.  Only accessible by boat or a good swimmer.  Fun place to visit that we go often.  We figured that a fun canoe trip plus geocaching equals an epic experience!  Good camping spots nearby if you decide to stay overnight.  Best place to pull a boat up is on the south-east corner of the island.  From there it is a short walk to the cache with little undergrowth, so sandals are fine.  Due to the heavy tree cover the coordinates may be slightly off, but the hint should help you find it pretty quick once you're on the island. Original cache contents include water themed toys.

If you don't have a boat, check out the Ledyard Canoe Club nearby where you can rent canoes or kayaks for a decent price.  http://www.dartmouth.edu/~lcc/main/rentals.php

Congrats to Graffixx for FTF in the rain and dedication to geocaching. We will be moving out of state in June, 2015. If you are interested in taking over maintenance of the cache please message me and I will be happy to transfer ownership.
