FBI Field Office: HNL - Kapolei
The new Federal Bureau of Investigation building replaces the overcrowded Kuhio Federal building in downtown Honolulu. The Honolulu Division will continue to consolidate all resources and help the Bureau operate under one roof in the Honolulu Area of responsibility. The Bureau will also operate smaller offices, known as Satellite Offices, in the Pacific region: Maui, Big Island (Kona), Guam & Saipan.

Area History
From sugarcane and pineapple, to a major Naval Air Station, this area known as Kapolei has gone through dramatic changes over the years.
Once the base was officially decommissioned, it sat idle. Certain facilities were left in place, to support Navy housing (which was eventually converted to private housing). Additional support that remained for a few years after officially closing in 1999: commissary, NEX, school and MWR facilities.
The US Navy eventually shuttered most buildings after BRAC though. Naval Air Facilities (4 P-3C Orion squadrons and 1 SH-60 Seahawk squadron) were moved to Marine Corps Base Hawaiii - Air Station Kane'ohe. While the US Navy returned the land to the State of Hawaii, they still own approximately 1200 acres.
Airfield operations are currently dual use (civil/military). Most runway activity originates from island commuter routes. While the bulk of the aircraft activity is general aviation, there still remains a substantial presence of transient and locally based military aircraft that use the airfield.
The United States Coast Guard continues to operate from John Rodger's Field. It is the only Coast Guard Air Station in the 14th District. USCG continues to run 24/7 air operations from CGAS Barbers Point with the HC-130 Hercules and the MH-65C Dolphin. Here is a direct link to USCG Barbers Point and it's mission.
The Hawaii Army National Guard eventually took on a greater presence at the state airport. Most activities were moved over from the Diamond Head HQ to make better use of the land for equipment storage. The Army Guard currently operates out of the large open hangar that once was used to maintain P-3C Orion aircraft.

Adding to the distinct history of Kalehola, will now be the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
