This is a series of 19 puzzle caches in the shape of a question mark on the map of Burgess Hill. All hides are within (or on the very edge of) the urban area of Burgess Hill, but I have tried to keep them away from places overlooked by buildings.
These days Geocaching is not just about finding plastic treasure at the base of trees. There’s also the stats!
Here are the D/T stats for a prolific fictional Geocacher called ‘We Hunt The Moor’.
To find this puzzle cache you need to find some probabilities expressed as percentages.
1. If I was to pick one of the 18,900 finds at random, what is the probability that it would have a Terrain rating of 2.5 or more ?
Write the answer as AB%
2. If I was to pick one of the 18,900 finds at random, what is the probability that it would have a Difficulty rating of 3.0 or more ?
Write the answer as C%
3. If I was to pick three different caches at random (i.e. in stats speak without replacement), what is the probability that all three of them would have a Difficulty rating of 2.0 or more and terrain rating of 2.0 or more.
Write answer as a percentage rounded to 2 decimal places D.EF%
Cache location is:
N 50 5(A+B) . (A-D) D (C+F)
W 000 0E . (E+F) (D+F) (C+F)
