Geocache Description:

The cache is NOT at the given coordinates. This is part of a series of caches to urge you to climb East Osceola.

While Mt. Osceola is on everybody's list of favorite peaks, East Osceola, with no summit views, is probably near the bottom. I've hiked a few mountains in my time and have some favorites. In Vermont my favorite 4000'ers are Mt. Mansfiled at 4393' and 4083' Camels Hump. In Maine I enjoy 5268' Baxter Peak on Mt. Katahdin and 4170' Old Speck, while in NH my favorite 4K peaks are 4802' Mt. Moosilauke and 4500' Mt. Garfield. Many focus on the 4000'ers but there are great hikes on lower mountains. I particularly like 3500' Mt. Chocorua and 2865' Mt. Willard in NH, 700' Mt. Battie and 1530' Cadillac Mtn. in Maine and 3360' Belvidere Mtn. and 3748' Glasterbuty Mtn. in Vermont. We are fortunate to live in New England where there are so many quality hiking opportunities.
